Welcome back Pokemon fans!
Once again, we have made it through another release, and what a release it was for Glory of Team Rocket.
Now... It is time for something completely new!
Pokemon submitted the trademarks for "Black Bolt" & "White Flare" late last year, indicating that we were going to be getting a Black & White era inspired set, makes sense right?
As it turns out, we will most likely be getting a twin set and it will essentially be 2025's Pokemon 151... But for the 5th Generation Unova region Pokemon, headed by the legendary Zekrom & Reshiram!
It is a bit out of character given that we haven't had any generational themes since the original Kanto 151 set back in 2023 and in reality this would be Pokemon 156 would it not? Doesn't have the same ring to it, so Black Bolt & White Flare sounds a lot more edgy!

UPDATE 05/05/2025:
The card reveals for Black Bolt and White Flare have been coming thick and fast this weekend! The total opposite to the Glory of Team Rocket release where we were staved for weeks without any reveals... We are now drowning in updates and we're all for it!
The next set of reveals are for the matching trio Tornadus, Thunurus and Landorus looking menacing in their respective environments! Although not all three are in the same expansion.
UPDATE 04/05/2025:
We woke up this sunny Sunday morning with a HUGE drop from Pokemon in the shape of the new Big Legendary cards in the form of a new Zekrom and Reshiram cards.
This time however, we have a new rarity for the first time since Scarlet & Violet introduced the new format of rarities.
Now we have the BWR (Black & White Rare) and true to the old Black & White era days, Pokemon have stayed true to the styling when it comes to the new Zekrom & Reshiram BWR cards.
Feast your eyes!
Fear not, we will still see our trusty AR & SAR cards within the set such as this Serperior SAR... We will of course update you on all of the best cards in the set!

The new pack arts for Pokemon Black Bolt & White Flare are here!
Taking a leaf out of the simplified Chinese book, we are now going to be getting Jumbo packs as an option and frankly, that's a great shout because we have loved opening jumbo packs... It is the same cards, but there's just something about opening a huge pack that gets the blood flowing!
Before we interjected with the updates, lets continue where we left off at the beginning of this blog.
We were saying that little is known about the set, but of course that has changed!
Never the less, we will have Black & White themed content out out as we approach the new release and of course will keep you appraised of all news, content and card reveals as they become available.

UPDATE: 29/04/2025
We come armed with a new update and of course some content that we've been putting together to honour the Black & White era. First up... We have a sneak peak (barely visible in fact) but a sneak peak non the less, for the Black Bolt and White Flare booster packs. Unsurprisingly they depict the iconic Reshiram & Zekrom...
Not much to go on just yet, but it's a satrt!
